1/3 of the time the app works correctly, that is when you're buying a flight, with cash, not points. 1/3 of the time trying to check in and when you want to see the boarding pass, you get the spinning wheel of death waiting for it to load, no matter the data connection your using. The last 1/3 of the time it doesn't work at all, as if the app is being updated. American Airlines, learn how to utilize technology properly, then maybe I'll add an extra star.

My experience with American has not been terrible, but this app is GARBAGE. It is completely useless... In fact, it will actually make it more difficult for you, because it will confuse you. The information it provides is not accurate whatsoever, notifications are sent late, and flight statuses are wrong. I was tracking my flight through it and I missed it. The people at the counter were helpful though.

Worst, just like American Airlines customer service as a whole. Every single time, and I promise myself this will be the LAST, can't load boarding passes. Actually have to log out and log back in, voila! There they are. Can't check flight status or change flights, while you ARE LOGGED IN without answering what flight, confirmation number, security questions, etc. Absolutely the most annoying, frustrating lack of customer support/care in the entire industry.
